Photos to PDF

Turn photos of documents into one PDF, in order.

Photograph the pages, put them in order, and get a single PDF. On a phone the file picker offers the camera, so a document you are holding becomes a PDF without an app in between.

Photos are resized before they go in. A full-resolution phone picture makes a PDF too large to email, and the screen setting is enough to read a document comfortably.

How it works

  1. Choose photos, or take them with the camera.
  2. Reorder the pages and pick a page size and resolution.
  3. Create the PDF and download it.

Frequently asked questions

Are the photos uploaded?

No. They are decoded and written into the PDF inside your browser, which is worth knowing for contracts, bank letters, or an ID document.

Which resolution should I choose?

The screen setting suits anything that will be read or emailed. Choose printing if the page will be printed, and full resolution only when detail matters more than file size.

What does the A4 option change?

Every photo is centred on an A4 page with a margin instead of the page matching the photo. Use it when the PDF will be printed or submitted to a form expecting A4.

Can I crop the background out of a page?

Crop the photos first with the image cropper, then bring the cropped files here. That removes the desk around a document, which is most of what a scanner app does.
